Twelve Richards, Layton & Finger Directors Named in 2009 Lawdragon Leading Lawyers in America

WILMINGTON, Delaware (May 19, 2010) – Twelve Richards, Layton & Finger directors have been recognized in the 2009 Lawdragon Leading Lawyers in America. Three attorneys, Donald A. Bussard, Gregory P. Williams and Mark D. Collins, are named among the top Lawdragon 500.  Paul M. Altman, C. Stephen Bigler, Jesse A. Finkelstein, Mark J. Gentile, Robert J. Krapf, James G. Leyden, Jr., Srinivas M. Raju, Allen M. Terrell, Jr. and Gregory V. Varallo are listed as Lawdragon Finalists.

Altman, chair of the firm’s business department, focuses on LLCs and partnerships in connection with the formation of private equity investment funds. Bigler, president of the firm, counsels corporations, officers, directors, board committees, stockholders and investors on issues arising in transactional and operational contexts. Finkelstein provides corporate governance, transactional, merger and acquisition, and control dispute advice to clients, and represents them in complex or high-stakes litigation. Gentile advises corporations, officers, directors, board committees and stockholders regarding mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations and corporate governance issues. Krapf focuses on a variety of transactional matters in the areas of real estate and land use law. Leyden is actively involved in the organization, structuring and operation of LLCs and partnerships, including structured finance transactions and private equity investment fund matters. Raju focuses on corporate advisory, corporate governance, transactional and complex litigation matters relating to Delaware corporations and alternative entities. Terrell represents a broad range of national and international clients, counseling them on issues involving the Delaware General Corporation Law and litigating business and corporate disputes on their behalf in state and federal courts. Varallo focuses on complex corporate and business litigation, as well as corporate governance and corporate transactions.
